Sweet Dreams - 1-2-3 Challenge Blog

As part of my new approach to my never ending scrapping i have decided to work on the current photos and then when i have time go back and work on the older stuff as i am feeling that i will never catch up!
 With this approach i decide to try out doing one of the 1-2-3 Challenge blog challenges. For the March Challenge i had a guide line of:

COLOUR = PASTELS
WORD = DREAM
TECHNIQUE = FRAMES

With this in mind i went through some of my freshly printed 2014 photos (lol) and found these gorgous pictures of her sleeping with her Cheeter ears still on!  I started with old K&Company papers from my stash and thought the pastel tones would be perfect. I know i had keep them for so long for a reason! I created the frame from a Collections Chipboard piece and then used Distress Paints, Glimmer Mist  and clear embossing power with a script stamp. I also cut some clouds from some left over vellum and cut the quilted paper into all the different sections.  I loved making this page and enjoyed doing the 1-2-3 Challenge Blog Challenge.

K&Company - Older paper ranges
Bazzill - French Vanilla
Collections - 3 Frame
Distess Ink - Victorian Velvet
Distress Paint - Antique Linen
Stickles - Frosted Lace
 Clear Embossing powder
Ribbon
Vellum Scraps

Was feeling very inspired...

Just wanted to apologise for not being around lately, i have been busy scrapping for a change.
I just wanted to share to page i made after making the tag for the Retro Sketch challenge #103. I loved making this tag so much that i thought it would make a wonderful page.

So this is the tag i made based on the sketch.
So, based on the tag (which i love) this is what i made.

Scrap Around The World - March 2014 Mood Board

Once again I am giving the Scrap Around the World challenge a try. This time it is Mood Board for February 2014. I love the idea of using a mood board for inspiration and to see what elements that stood out for me.

The inspiration for my page came from a few different elements from this mood board. The first was the paint brush, i created the background of the page by getting an old dry paint brush and dabbing it in some paint and then dry brushed the paper in all different directions. The second element for me was the type writer, i really do love the old style. This made me think about school and so i decided to not go with colour theme of the mood board but use some school photos and the colour of the school. I had heaps of fun creating this layout and i hope you all enjoy it too.

Happy Birthday - Retro Sketch #104

Back once again :-)
This weeks Retro sketch is challenge #104 and is a fun ribbon design card.

So with all that here is my version of this sketch. I had a birthday this week so i thought it would be a good excuse to get the card done. I found this old paper in the back of a box and thought it would be perfect for a simply card.
